Animal Rescue Site

Hi there,

So gorgeous hair is important, sure. But you know what else is? Helping defenseless doggies and kitties. So, if you're looking for a mega easy way to better the lives of abused and neglected animals I got you covered and it literally takes 20 seconds. Oh, and it also doesn't cost you a thing!

Their corporate sponsors/advertisers use the daily clicks numbers to determine how much dog/cat food to donate to in exchange for advertising.

So visit regularly. It'll mean the world to a hopeless little animal out there. Oh and good karma is great for the hair!

xoxo,

SAG Awards

Another week, another award show. I always love the start of a new year because it means awards season! This weekend, the stars came out to celebrate each other at the 15th Annual SAG Awards. The SAG Awards are not on network TV, and are not as well known as some of the others, but the hair and fashion did not disappoint. Check out some of the best SAG looks at BellaSugar and vote on your faves! I loved Anne Hathaway's loose, wavy bob, and Emily Blunt's sleek up do! Can't wait for the Grammy's on February 8th and the Oscars on the 22nd!

Cool or Creepy?

Hi all,
Last night my new Issue of Self arrived and as usual I skipped everything I had planned to do (bills, calling my mom, folding laundry) in favor of devouring it cover to cover. Never satisfied, I still spent my lunch hour reading through Self.com and found a poll collecting opinions on all the hottest new runway and celebrity inspired beauty trends. Click here to cast your vote on what's Cool or Creepy . I was pretty ok with feathered headbands, fishtail braids, platinum streaks and black lipstick (come on it's kinda fun) but I'm violently opposed to the technicolor brows and sweaty hair. Ew! So, what's your threshold for the latest trends?

Get Golden!

For me, an award show is more than a Sunday evening with special programming, it's an all day event! I park myself on the sofa at 3pm for the star studded red carpet arrivals and only move during a commercial break. This year's Golden Globes did not dissapoint! The most beautiful celebrities from the world of televison and film showed up in their sunday best. We always focus on who the stars are wearing, but this year, it was all about the hair! Glamorous hair is something we can all do at home while the sesigner couture dresses are probably...not. Eva Longoria Parker looked amazing in her red Reem Acra dress and elegant updo, while others fell flat, like Cameron Diaz's messy nest. For all of you who want to get a Golden Globes hair style of your very own, check out BellaSugar's guide to Golden Globes hair where they tell you how to get Eva's glam updo (and others) at home!

Reinvent Yourself!

Hi all,

In high school and college I became known for my signature hair. It was long, straight, parted down the middle a la Marcia Brady. And it was...well...BORING!

At 24 something clicked and I realized that life wasn't worth living if I didn't take some changes and I've been changing my hair frequently ever since.  So now I'm always experimenting. I have a breakup, I change my hair. I get a new job, I change my hair. It's the new year, I change my hair. It's Tuesday, I change my hair. You get the idea.

And when I want to brainstorm for a new look I always check out what my favorite celebs are doing, especially those with similar hair types and face shapes to me.  Today I was pondering my next move and came across The Daily Makeover which has album after album of inspiration.

I guess the first decision is am I keeping the bangs for '09? I'll keep you posted!

xoxo,
